The Chile Blockchain Chamber adheres to the Declaration of Principles of Digital Rights
Declaration of Digital Principles.
(i) People at the center of the digital transformation.
People are at the heart of it, and technology must serve and benefit all citizens, empowering them to fulfill their life plans with complete security and absolute respect for their fundamental rights.
(ii) Solidarity and inclusion.
Everyone must have access to technology that aims to unite people and not cause divisions. The digital transformation must contribute to a fairer society and economy. This section details principles for connectivity, digital education and skills, working conditions, and online digital public services.
(iii) Freedom of choice.
This refers to interactions with algorithms, artificial intelligence systems, and a fair digital environment. It states that we must "ensure a safe, secure, and fair digital environment in which fundamental rights are protected and the responsibilities of platforms, especially large operators and gatekeepers, are well-defined."
(iv) Participation in the digital public space.
"Everyone should have access to a trustworthy, diverse, and multilingual digital environment. Access to diverse content contributes to pluralistic public debate and should allow everyone to participate in the democratic process."
(v) Safety, security, and empowerment.
The digital environment must be safe and secure; privacy and individual control over data are essential; children and young people must be protected and empowered in the digital environment.
(vi) Sustainability.
The commitment is established to support the development and use of sustainable digital technologies, with minimal impact on the social sphere, as well as on the environment, as well as to develop and implement digital solutions with positive effects on the environment and climate.
(vii) Constitutional recognition.
Recognition of the inalienable and imprescriptible existence of the property right that a user has over his or her digital identity and the attributes that emanate from it. The right to digital property is recognized as an inalienable and inextinguishable human right.
